Celebrating Generations: A Heartwarming Afternoon for Grandparents and Students.
Primary students recently hosted a special afternoon event dedicated to their grandparents and other significant individuals in their lives. This memorable occasion provided a wonderful opportunity for the students and their guests to bond and share stories.
The afternoon was filled with engaging activities, including guided tours of the classrooms (it was hot outside!). Students and guests participated in board games, which sparked laughter and friendly competition and took time to conduct in-depth interviews that allowed them to uncover fascinating details about their guests’ life stories.
Students also crafted heartfelt thank-you cards for the AEGIS community to express their appreciation and acknowledge the positive influence they have on their lives. The event culminated in a delightful afternoon tea prepared by high school students, treating the grandparents to freshly baked scones, jam, and cream.
This memorable event not only honoured the grandparents but reinforced the bonds between generations, showcasing the importance of family and community.
