Father’s Day Event: The Fast and the Furious Races!
What a joy it was to see so many dads and father figures from our community gather for this year’s much-anticipated Father’s Day Event: The Fast and the Furious Races!
The morning was filled with highlights: from the delicious, freshly prepared BBQ breakfast (a huge thank you to our wonderful volunteers!), to dads spending quality time with their children and catching up with one another and of course, the exciting races. The atmosphere was full of excitement as children were lifted onto shoulders for a better view, and the cheers of “banana, banana, banana” for the much-loved banana car echoed through the crowd! The laughter and joy were truly contagious, creating memories that will last well beyond the day.
It was also a special blessing to see so many grandfathers join us, adding to the sense of family and community.
Events like these remind us of the irreplaceable role fathers and father figures play in the lives of our young people. Thank you for showing up, being present and making the day so meaningful.
We’re already looking forward to next year’s event and another morning of fun, connection and celebration.
