Primary School Celebrates Spelling Bee Success
On Tuesday, 10 June, Northshore held its annual Spelling Bee, bringing together the top four spellers from each year group (Years 1–6). The event began with three exciting rounds of spelling within each class, after which the top four students from each year group advanced to Round 4, the final round of the competition.
Our talented finalists showcased their spelling skills and determination in front of an enthusiastic audience. The competition concluded with a head-to-head showdown to decide the overall winners. It was a fantastic display of confidence, courage and academic excellence.
To add to the excitement, we also held a lively Parents vs Teachers spelling challenge. The friendly rivalry sparked plenty of laughs and applause – and this time, the parents claimed victory, showing the teachers just who’s been helping our young spellers practise at home!
We would like to thank all the students and teachers who helped and participated for their enthusiasm and hard work in making the event a success. And, of course, a special thank you to Bernie the Bee, who brought smiles, energy and plenty of buzz to the day!
Well done to everyone involved!
