Secondary Beach Day 2025

Fun in the sun for our Year 7–10 students

Our Year 7–10 students were lucky to swap a day of classrooms for sunshine, sand and fresh ocean air! On Monday, 8 December, they took part in our much-loved Annual Beach Carnival, and what a day it was.

Students enjoyed a full line-up of activities both in and out of the water, including tug of war, boogie boarding, swimming, races, footy, volleyball and so much more. There were friendly rivalries, lots of cheering and plenty of moments that had teachers smiling behind their sunglasses. And of course, no one went hungry thanks to the ever-popular sausage sizzle, which was very quickly declared the “best part of the day” by more than a few students.

We also want to give a huge thank you to Alkimos Surf Life Saving Club for joining us once again. Their guidance, encouragement and watchful support help make this day possible every year. They not only keep our students safe in the water but also bring a sense of energy and confidence that lifts the whole event. We’re incredibly grateful for their partnership.

With hours of sunshine, surf and time with friends, it was the perfect way to wrap up the end-of-year rush and enjoy some well-earned fun together. We’re sure there were plenty of very tired (but happy!) students that evening, and just as many eager to do it all again next year. What a fantastic day!
