A meaningful start marked by connection, reflection and growth for students and families.
The Rite Journey program has had a truly meaningful and memorable start to the year, marked by connection, reflection, and growth for both students and their families.
One of the highlights this term was our Parent Information Evening. This special event brought families together in a warm and welcoming environment, where students served a meal to their parents. Beyond the shared food, the evening created space for genuine and often powerful conversations, many of which may not have otherwise taken place in the busyness of everyday life. It was inspiring to see students and parents engaging openly, strengthening relationships, and beginning this journey together with intention.
Another significant milestone was the Calling and Departure Ceremony, held at Yanchep Lagoon in the early hours of a Friday morning. As the sun rose, students and parents shared heartfelt letters with one another, expressing hopes, gratitude and personal reflections. This ceremony marked an important transition within the Rite Journey program, symbolising the beginning of each student’s path toward adulthood. It was a deeply moving experience for all involved and a moment that will be remembered long after the program concludes.
Throughout the term, students have been actively engaging in a wide range of learning experiences centred around key themes such as maturity, respect and trust. These important concepts have been explored through discussions, personal reflection and a variety of team-building activities designed to challenge and support students as they grow.
We are incredibly proud of the way students have embraced the program so far and look forward to continuing this journey alongside them and their families in the months ahead.
