Year 10 Blasts Off with Virtual Space Adventure!
As part of their Space Science unit, our Year 10 students recently embarked on an out-of-this-world experience with a Virtual Reality simulation. Using VR technology, they explored our solar system and beyond. They navigated Martian terrain with a rover and even got to launch space rockets in an incredible virtual environment.
One of the most awe-inspiring moments came when the VR simulation scaled rockets to life-size proportions, allowing students to stand beside these engineering marvels and truly appreciate their massive scale.
Both students and teachers who participated were thrilled by the immersive adventure, with plenty of “wow” moments, gasps of amazement, and excited discussions about space. The session brought textbook concepts to life in unforgettable ways, sparking new enthusiasm for astronomy and engineering. A huge thank you to Mindflight7 for this incredible learning opportunity. Who knows, we may have just inspired some future rocket scientists!
