A Celebration of Young Talent: Highlights from the Secondary Music Showcase
On Wednesday, November 5, at True North Church, our Secondary Music Showcase delighted audiences with an evening of entertaining performances, celebrating the talent, creativity and teamwork of our young musicians. The event brought together students from Years 5–10, featuring an impressive range of ensembles, vocalists and instrumentalists across classical, contemporary and popular styles.
The evening opened with the Wind Ensemble, performing Celtic Air and Dance, Pirates of the Caribbeanand Accidentally in Love, setting a spirited tone for the night. This was followed by a series of captivating small ensemble and solo performances, highlighting the dedication and musical growth of our students.
A highlight of the evening was the CAS contemporary ensembles and elective class music rock bands, whose lively interpretations of modern hits had the audience tapping along. The variety of performances showcased the breadth of our music programme from classical grace to rock and pop flair. It demonstrated the inclusive and supportive culture that makes music at our school so special.
We extend our congratulations to all the students for their hard work and courage in sharing their music, to the dedicated instrumental tutors and music staff for their guidance and to parents and families for their ongoing encouragement and support.
