Year 11 Head Start Week: A Memorable Beginning to the Senior School Journey
Our Year 11 students embraced an exciting and memorable Head Start Week, packed with engaging activities designed to build confidence, develop new skills and strengthen friendships as they step into senior school.
The week kicked off with plenty of energy, from dance sessions in preparation for the school ball to an action-packed afternoon at Bounce. Students also ventured into Perth for a City After Dark tour, where they learned how to navigate Northbridge safely and confidently. A standout highlight was an unforgettable evening tour of Fremantle Prison, offering a unique and thought-provoking experience.
Service learning played an important role too, with students spending time gardening in Yanchep and giving back to the local community.
Throughout the week, they took part in valuable workshops including self-defence, first aid and archery – gaining practical skills they can carry forward into life beyond school. The Red Frogs Leavers talk added a meaningful touch, prompting students to reflect on their future and the journey ahead.
To round out the week, students enjoyed a well-deserved day at the beach, an ideal way to relax and celebrate a full and rewarding program.
