Honouring our ANZACs
On Tuesday, 29 April, our school community came together for an inspirational ANZAC Day assembly. This gathering provided us with the opportunity to reflect on the strength and selflessness of our ANZACs, reminding us of the sacrifices they made for our freedom. Their bravery and dedication will forever be etched in our memories.
We were honoured to have Mr Miedecke, a pilot in the Royal Air Force and a valued parent of our school, as our special guest speaker. His insights enriched our reflections and reinforced the significance of the day.
As we commemorated the ANZACs, we were reminded of the words from John 15:13: “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friend.” This reflection encapsulated the essence of courage and sacrifice that characterises the ANZAC spirit.
