A joyful afternoon of laughter, community and fun for the whole Northshore family
Our Family Fun Festival on Friday, 20 February 2026, was a great success, uniting our school families and community for an afternoon of laughter, connection and memorable moments.
With so many activities on offer, many parents joked that they barely saw their children all afternoon. This created the perfect opportunity for families to relax, catch up with friends and enjoy the atmosphere, with picnic blankets spread across the grounds as everyone settled in for a fun, relaxing afternoon.
A highlight once again was the much-anticipated Inflatable Staff Dash. Last year, Santa became famous for dramatically falling over and struggling to get back up, but this year, Mr Weck, dressed in his sumo suit, rolled, bounced and launched his way through the obstacle course with impressive determination. We may need to invest in a ninja suit for him next year – it seems there may be a little ninja blood in him!
And who was the crowd favourite? The shark, of course! While it may have finished last, it won plenty of cheers for refusing to give up and persevering right to the end – no easy feat when crawling under obstacles with a very large inflatable shark head.
Events like this would not be possible without the dedication of our staff, who not only worked hard behind the scenes but also joined in the fun, providing plenty of entertainment through the Inflatable Staff Dash and the always-popular Dunking Tank.
