Competition was close as students raced for house points and age champion titles.
On Tuesday, 24 February, students from Years 4–12 gathered at Craigie Leisure Centre for our annual Interhouse Swimming Carnival. It was a fantastic day of house spirit, friendly competition and plenty of fun in the water.
There was truly something for everyone. Our competitive swimmers took to the pool for the traditional events across all four strokes, including the challenging 100m freestyle. Meanwhile, students who preferred a more relaxed approach enjoyed participatory events such as boogie board races, treasure dives and noodle relays – perfect activities to keep everyone involved and cool on a very hot day. Every race contributed valuable points towards the overall House totals.
The competition was incredibly close this year, with only two points separating first and second place. In the end, Makuru emerged as the overall House winner. Congratulations to all students who competed and proudly represented their Houses throughout the day.
