Year 10 Camp 2026

A few days away filled with learning, laughter and memories that will stay with our students.

Our Year 10 Camp was a wonderful three days filled with learning, challenge, fun and opportunities for students to grow in character and community. We are incredibly proud of the way our students represented the School throughout the camp.

We began with visits to Curtin University, where students engaged in inspiring activities in STEM, Nursing, and Business pathways. These experiences gave students a glimpse into future career possibilities while immersing them in a dynamic university environment. Later in the camp, students also visited the University of Western Australia, participating in presentations, academic activities and a campus tour that encouraged them to begin thinking about life beyond school and the many opportunities available to them.

Beyond the scheduled activities, they enjoyed spending time together in the recreation hall. A student DJ kept the atmosphere lively, with students dancing, singing along to favourite songs and creating memories that will no doubt be talked about for years to come. It was wonderful to see students from different friendship groups mixing and enjoying one another’s company.

One of the highlights of the camp was the highly competitive go-karting session. Students embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, demonstrating determination, resilience and plenty of friendly rivalry. The excitement and cheering from the sidelines created a fantastic atmosphere, with students celebrating one another’s successes and encouraging those who were trying something new.

The evening ice-skating excursion to Cockburn Ice Arena was another memorable experience. While some students confidently took to the ice, others bravely stepped outside their comfort zones and quickly discovered new skills. There was plenty of laughter, encouragement and teamwork as students helped one another navigate the rink.

Each day was framed by meaningful devotions presented by staff and student leaders. These messages encouraged students to reflect on their relationship with God, the importance of wise choices, and the value of living lives that honour Christ. The devotions provided important moments of stillness and reflection amid a busy and exciting schedule.

Another highlight of the camp was hearing from motivational speaker Jade Lewis. She delivered engaging and thought-provoking presentations that addressed a range of issues relevant to young people today, including ‘positive relationships’ and ‘vaping’. Students were challenged to think critically about the decisions they make and the influences they allow into their lives. Jade’s honest and practical approach resonated strongly with many students and prompted valuable conversations long after the sessions had concluded.

The Alumni Night was another significant part of the camp experience. Students heard from current and former students who shared their experiences of senior school, pathways after graduation and lessons they had learned along the way. These stories provided encouragement, inspiration and practical advice as our Year 10 students begin making important decisions about their future studies and career aspirations.

Thank you to all staff who generously invested their time, energy and care into making the camp such a success. We are also grateful to parents for your support and partnership in helping provide opportunities such as this for our students.

Year 10 Camp 2026 was an outstanding experience, and we trust that the friendships strengthened, lessons learned and memories made will continue to have a positive impact on our students throughout the remainder of the year and beyond.
