Year 6 Graduating Class of 2023

As our Year 6 students bid farewell to their primary school years, they stand tall and confident, eager to take on the world and all that secondary school offers.

In an exciting culmination of their primary school journey, the Year 6 students at Northshore Christian have recently wrapped up a series of unforgettable events that will be imprinted in their memories for years. From conquering fears during the school camp to showcasing academic prowess in a local competition, the students demonstrated resilience, teamwork, and a spirit of giving back.

School Camp: Overcoming Challenges and Creating Memories

The year’s highlight for the Year 6 students was undoubtedly the school camp, where they embarked on a thrilling adventure filled with challenges and camaraderie. Nestled in the heart of nature, students faced fears head-on through activities such as archery, bush walks, abseiling, and mountain biking. The camp provided an opportunity for physical activities and fostered teamwork and resilience as students worked together to overcome obstacles.

Northern Bright Stars Academic Competition: A Triumph of Intellect

Celebrating not only physical prowess but also academic excellence, selected Year 6 students engaged in the Northern Bright Stars Academic Competition alongside peers from three different schools. The competition showcased the students’ intellectual abilities, and the team’s collaborative spirit shone through, leaving a lasting impression on both participants and spectators.

Teacher Quote: “The academic competition was a testament to the students’ dedication to learning. It was a pleasure to see them applying their knowledge in a competitive yet supportive environment.” – [Nadine Lategan]

Boardies Day: Making Waves for a Worthy Cause

Year 6 students at Northshore Christian Grammar demonstrated their commitment to community service during Boardies Day, where they raised funds for the Alkimos Surf Life Saving Club (S.L.S.C.). Dressed in board shorts and vibrant beachwear, students participated in various activities, including water balloon fights, to support an important local cause.

Graduation Fun Day: Celebrating Achievements and Looking Forward

Year 6 students celebrated their graduation with a fun-filled day at Outback Splash as the school year drew to a close. The day served as a joyful farewell to their primary school years, creating memories that will be cherished as they transition to the next chapter of their academic journey.

In the end, the Year 6 students at Northshore Christian Grammar have not only learned academic lessons but also valuable life skills, fostering a sense of community, resilience, and a spirit of adventure that will undoubtedly serve them well in the years to come.

Our year 6 cohort is now ready to enter Secondary school with a solid foundation that was poured before them – a foundation we are very blessed to be a part of.

To the Year 6’s, don’t despair that you are now on the “foundation level” of your lives, but rather take courage in Timothy 4:12

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”

Take encouragement that even though you are young, you are called to set an example for believers and that you are building forward on a fantastic foundation. And above all, remember that our Heavenly Father loves you.

Congratulations to the Year 6 Classes of 2023. The world awaits the brilliance you will undoubtedly bring to it.
